We have just returned from a stay at the Tivoli. Entrance - Reception is lovely, staff helpful and all spoke excellent English. Rooms - We found our beds to be a little hard for us, but that seems to be the case in many a hotel. I notice many of the better hotels are now choosing to give a softer... more
We spent a week there recently and this was our first holiday away from Madeira (Royal Savoy) for 6+ years. Not used to the madding crowd at breakfast time. No real complaints about this hotel. We booked through Thomas Cook and unfortunately did not get the opportunity of a room upgrade like the previous reviewer. We stayed in 1219 and... more
This is a good hotel. Not a great one but it does what it says on the tin. The location is excellent, being so close to the town with all of it's excellent restaurants and bars. Why pay expensive hotel prices, and the Tivoli is no exception, with all such variety on your doorstep. We had read some variable reveiws... more
Just returned from Lagos our sixth visit in six years to the Tivoli. In six visits we have never had a room in the same block. This time we booked with Thomson Hotels and got an excellent room with a balcony overlooking the pool. I cannot speak to highly of the hotel rooms are spotless, service is excellent, breakfast buffet... more
If you want 5 star luxury in a 4 star hotel, this is the place to go. The service is absolutely first class, the hotel public areas as well as the bedrooms are beautifully clean, and the quality of food in the various restaurants/bars leaves nothing to be desired. They have nice little touches too - it was my wife's... more
We stayed at the Tivoli Lagos for a week before Easter, having read the mixed reviews. It certainly is "quirky", but in a good way. Well-situated for strolls around the fascinating town (which is about to expand considerably when all the buildings currently under construction come into use). Our room was in "section a" which is a fair distance from... more
We stayyed at the Tivoli Hotel for a 4 day short break between the 17th & the 21st of March. The Location: Located just behind the main road adjacent to the marina. If arriving in Lagos from the A22 Motorway, continue down the hill, (with Meia Praia beach in the distance), and along the full length of the Marina road... more
We stayed in the Tivoli Lagos for 10 days and it was brilliant. We were a bit worried by some of the reviews on this site but i can say that we only experienced kind and helpful behaviour from the staff. They could not do enough to help us. We were travelling with a 20 month old toddler and the... more
We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks in February and it was great. The best bit was the White Room with its roaring log fire (but they did not light it until 5pm even though it was cold), you could sit on cushions or the seats, have a drink and best of all this was the only smoking area... more
