Lovely old hotel at a canal.. Rooms are classic and beautiful with the best rainshower in the world as far as I can tell..the bath fills in a short while which is also great.. The restaurant is nice as well as the bar downstairs with a lovely view of the canals. more

The Amstel is a seriously plush and beautiful hotel. The exterior is quite regal and overlooks The Amstel canal, hence the name. Staff at this hotel are not so helpful and have a surly attitude. Rooms are outdated and the corridors smell. Should be closed and properly renovated. Bathrooms also are old and leaky. more
