What a disappointment this grand hotel turned out to be....small, old fashioned, musty rooms with outdated fussy soft furnishings. Our lake side room was uncomfortable and only adequately clean. The location is perfect but hotel seems to be resting on that more than their rooms. My room was very small, even by European standards, and dimly lit. Stayed for four nights at the Metropole on business. The room I had was small but very nice - in-room espresso/tea machine, free bottle of water each day, Toblerone chocolate on the pillow and turndown service. I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights - it was excellent. The room were very tastefully decorated and had their own Espresso machine - a nice touch. Would definitely stay again at this hotel when in Geneva. more

Arrived at end of 3 week stay in Switzerland and France with no hotel booked.
