This review is for the restuarant only. We did not stay at the hotel (although it certainly looked gorgeous). Il Maniero is one of those special restaurant experiences you may only come across a few times in your life. It is high in the hills above Assisi, so a car is a must, but no trip to Assisi is complete... more

I'm sorry the last person posting had such a bad experience. I've stayed there on two occasions, and brought a group with me (10 people total). We were given a lovely room on 2 levels with a double bed in the loft; the other time we also had a large room with a double bed. All the rooms have spanking... more

I contacted the hotel and booked a romantic double room with my husband. When we got there what we got was a single room! with two single beds pushed together. We did not even have space to put our two suitcases. I read on the door where they, by law, have to publish their minimum and maximum daily rate and... more
