We had booked a room in the Alora B&B based on reviews. When we arrived, it turned out they had oversold, so we were brought downstairs to the Burchianti. Overrated.People smoking in the corridors(even though it states it's a non smoking hotel),managers looses his temper whenever a problem arises and has terrible manners towards both clients and employees.No telephone in the room and no mobile signal.No English spoken.You can easily get more for less money,and if you want to see frescoes, head for Santa Croce instead:-) more

Too much decoration(maybe even on the kitsch side).However, shower wets the whole floor of the bathroom when you have a douche, and isolation(both from the street and from other rooms)is poor. more
