We arrived at Il Borgo through its grand front gate, the yellow buildings shimmering in the sun. Alessandro greeted us with a bouquet of sweet-smelling flowers and showed us to our apartment. It was beautifully decorated. Having left Phoenix about fifteen hours earlier, the bed was comfortable and inviting. The view of the rolling hills from the apartment was breathtaking.... more

Date: November 2, 2007 Reviewer: TripAdvisor member, California Il Borgo has a "Lessons of Tuscany" program that exceeded all our expectations. We signed up for the program and an additional 3 days bed & breakfast. It was a great idea. On the "Lessons" program we went to a different Tuscan location each day, transportation included, and were provided with a... more

It was just about 10 Mos. ago that we traveled to Tuscany. Our first week we stayed at Il Borgo and were greeted by Innkeeper Alessandro Guerrieri. He truly is one of the nicest innkeepers we've ever met. The vacation was the most relaxing and scenic yet. The food? Fabulous. Il Borgo has a package called Lessons of Tuscany that... more

It had always been a dream of mine to visit Italy, especially since my Grandparents came over to the US from Italy at the turn of the century. Never in a million years would I have dreamed of the experience my wife and I had at Il Borgo. From the moment we arrived we experienced the beauty of Tuscany and... more

September in Tuscany is spectacular and staying at Il Borgo made it a truly wonderful experience. The accommodations are spacious with two bedrooms, two and a half baths, full kitchen and living room. Patios and balconies with views of the incredible Tuscan countryside were enjoyed for breakfasts and cocktails. The staff at Il Borgo arrange everything for you including drivers... more

Il Borgo's weeklong Lessons of Tuscany package provides an invaluable overview of the culture, history, food and attractions of Florence and the surrounding hill towns. Innkeeper Alessandro Guerrieri is an exceptional host, tailoring the itinerary, dining and cultural experiences to each guest's preferences. The villa itself is the ultimate in comfort, located in scenic surroundings. Every moment was a delight. more

The best thing about Il Borgo is the Manager, Alessandro Guerrieri. As guests there for two successive years he assisted us in finding excellent dining places and local attractions of interest. The Villa is very peaceful. A great place to relax, read a book and have a glass or two of the local wine. The surrounding scenery is beautiful. We... more

I just returned from a week in Tuscany. We stayed at a place in Chianti called Il Borgo of Villa Bossi-Pucci. They have something called Lessons of Tuscany that includes trips to all the surrounding towns-Pisa, Siena, Lucca, etc. Breakfast is delivered to your room every morning and dinner is in a different local restaurant every night. You can take... more
