We stayed in this hotel for 4 days in May 2007 and loved it. It is a walkable distance to all the major attractions and is right in the middle of all the shopoing Florence has to offer. A cab from the train station would cost around 10 euros. The hotel staff were very helpful and we had a great... more

We recently spent 6 nights at the Scoti and had a great stay. The location is fantastic – the entrance door on Via Tournabuoni is sandwiched between designer shops Save the Queen and Prada – and it’s directly opposite Cartier jewellers. You enter through the huge wooden door and take the quirky vintage lift up to the second floor. Unfortunately,... more

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Scoti a few years ago, so it was an easy decision to stay there again in 2008. A few blocks from the Uffizi and the Arno, the hotel is on the 2nd floor of a 14th century palazzo. Doreen and Carmelo are perfect hosts. Breakfast in your room is available. Some of the... more

Hotrel Scoti is in a superb location, central to everything in Florence. The wife of the owner team, Doreen, is a gem, she can't do enough for you, and is anxious to answer any questions you may have - if you forget your Florence tour books, she can provide all the information you need. The rooms are big, clean, and... more

We've recently returned from a one week visit to lovely Florence and our second stay at the Hotel Scoti. The hotel is located less than a ten minute walk from the train station and is an equally short distance to major tourist sights such as the Duomo , Piazza della Signoria and the Uffizi Museum. It's an even shorter walk... more

I stayed at Hotel Scoti in late March. I originally selected this hotel because I saw the owner Doreen was Australian and I thought English communication would be smooth and efficient. It was and all went well when I booked my room about two months before my trip toFlorence. Doreen was very nice and helpful. As I had questions throughout... more

Hotel Scoti is in a convenient location, but can be difficult to find. Here are some tips to make it easier. It is located on the second floor of a large building and does not have it's own entrance. Look for the tiny plaque with a buzzer on the outside. Once inside the building, you can take the elevator or... more

The best thing about Hotel Scoti is its location. Florence may be an easy city to wander around in but I still felt that being based on Via Tornabuoni and closer to the river rather than than near the train station was the way to go. It was so convenient to just skip a few blocks back to my room... more

good location, 10 mins walk to the train station. but the hotel is located at a quite terrible building (for me).....probably it's a historical building it's a only one-star hotel.....not a 3/4 star hotel that you may seen somewhere.... but the host is very friendly and the washroom is newly decorated... but the rate I think is not much worth.... more

The location was fantastic, very trendy area amongst very expensive shops. Loved the huge door to the building! We walked to all the sights easily, including the train station, which is how we arrived. Huge room and nice bathroom, all very clean and tidy. Lovely common-area sitting room. Lots of character. Doreen was very friendly and helpful. I have recommended... more
