We had requested a superior twin room, but were sent to a tiny double room on the fifth floor next to the breakfast room. We asked to be moved and were dismayed at the treatment we received by the reception staff. We were eventually moved to a twin room in the other part of the hotel. Although Florence is beautiful... more

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights last week. The hotel was absolutely lovely, wonderful location for exploring the city, the room was spotlessly clean and beautiful. The staff could not have been more helpful - I hurt my ankle and they were so, so helpful and very concerned. The breakfast was a great buffet selection - kept us... more

Given room withsmoke smell. Moved to a second room where there was crack under stool so flooded bathroom. Man came up and said to move to new room but offered no assistance in helping to move, which we had to do in the dark. Third room had no shower door and we got bed bugs the last night of our... more

We were booked by Hotelconnect into the Hotel Ambasciatori but on arrival were informed that we should book into the Hotel Diplomat along the street. Not a good start. They assured us that they were in the same group and that breakfast would be in the Ambasciatori. Breakfast was fine although once you had left your table to go to... more

Internetinformation: 1. tea and coffee at the room -not true. 2. all include balconies- not true 3. all rooms with bathrom- only shower 4. hotelbar-closed 5. hotelldesk closed... more

Great location next to rail station, minutes walk from all the sights of Florence. No problems with booking or staff,in fact the staff booked Uffizi tickets for us so we didnt need to queue.Room was ok with roof terrace, views to the Duomo and good air con. As long as you are aware you are in Italy and dont expect the comfort... more

The Diplomat's reception is plain and uninspiring. It is connected to another hotel, the Ambasciatori , which is about 20 metres away. Hence the long corridors. We had a triple room. It had a mini bar and a TV. The TV's reception was very poor and their engineers never managed to repair it the whole time we were there. Still,... more

We booked Hotel Diplomat direct online. Official garb promised: Lovely photo, away from traffic, greenery all around. All rooms had balconies, good views over city etc etc. ALL LIES. Hotel Diplomat is only a very small part of a massive complex of interconnecting hotels in the middle of a very busy area next to the railway station. As I was... more

I always check Tripadvisor before booking any place to stay, and I have never written a review myself. However, my experience at the B&H Hotel Diplomat was SO bad and frightening that I felt it my duty to warn other travelers. I recently stayed at the Hotel Diplomat ( July 23rd) and had a horrible experience. #1 - Although we... more

We stayed in this Hotel for three days in July. Hotel is near Termini. You don't have to take a Taxi. Hotel is close to all major attractions. That is probably all good that is about this Hotel. Just before the Entrance to the Hotel there is a Bus stop on a narrow side of the street. Very often you... more
