I paid over $350 a night to stay in a single room. The hotel was not bustling at all. I was disappointed that I couldn't be upgraded to a double room given the fact the hotel was far from busy. I've spent one night with my wife in this fantastic hotel downtown Florence. The room was very spaciuos with very nice forniture and in the bathroom I found a jacuzzi. Very comfortable bed and silence all night long. Good breakfast. more

The Montebello Splendid is the perfect hotel for a short break in Florence. It is expensive, but worth every penny (cent). The service and attention to detail was excellent. We just returned from a four night stay in this lovely hotel. We stayed in the family room with loft with our two teenage children. It was spacious, comfortable, and lovely. spend there one night on a business trip. 5 stars hotel for building and forniture, 3 stars hotel for service an position. Room was nice, big, clean on 2 floor, people are really rude, receptionist speak loudly on the phone and they scared my car exiting the box..... believe me 5 stars are far away from this place. more
