We stayed at this hotel in the centre of Florence for a couple of nights. It's a minute's walk from the Duomo so not cheap but very welcoming and homely. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make our stay pleasant without being in any way intrusive. There's no... more

We stayed at the Hotel Casci on the first 2 nights of our 2 week trip. It was a perfect location, allowing us to get out quickly to see the sights, and make easy visits back for a rest or to freshen up. The staff are absolutely lovely. We had a bit of a "crisis" and were frantically awaiting a... more

Florence for the second time. Much better hotel. Hotel Casci is second floor of a mediaeval building [lift from entrance hall], 50 yards from the Duomo, and pedestrian shopping centre, 100 yards from Michaelangelo's David (stunning) and Fra Angelico's frescoes at San Marco (uplifting), three doors away from the museum of Leonardos machines (fascinating)... to name a few. Signora Carla... more

We stayed at the Casci for 3 nights in April and had a wonderful time and echo the sentiments shared by many in other reviews of the Hotel Casci. Paolo and his family are very customer service oriented and go out the way to make sure you have a good stay and are as comfortable as possible. My family of... more

What a great little hotel! We had 6 people (3 rooms) and every single person thought it was a true gem. Though the hotel itself is fairly small and located on the 2F, the location is perfect for sightseeing in Florence - an easy 5 minute walk to about all of the major attractions in the central district. The rooms... more

Based our hotel decision in Florence solely on the rave reviews found here on tripadvisor.com--and they were spot on. Hotel Casci is a delight. European simple (actually, the rooms are rather spacious compared to most), moderately priced, clean, modern bathrooms, flat screen TV, internet, fabulous location, good breakfast, etc. But without doubt the BEST feature are the hosts. Quite simply,... more

We loved everything about Hotel Casci. The family/staff is welcoming and eager to help with reservations and suggestions. There is free wi-fi and also a computer in the lobby, a library of paperbacks previous visitors have left (what a great idea!), and a location central to everything in Florence. Our room was large and had a large bathroom; a friend... more

Don't be put off by the climb up the staircase (or the lift) to the hotel's first floor entrance! The welcome was warm and the care and service first class. The hotel is clean, quiet and serves a very good breakfast. Highly recommended. more

Hotel Casci is a great hotel couple of blocks or so from the Duomo. This is a great central location and you can walk to most, if not all, of Florence's major sights from here. The staff is super friendly and accomodating. They recommended restaurants and helped us make reservations, suggested day trips and explained how to get there and... more
