The hotel was beautiful, we had a lovely two night stay at the beginning of September. I arrived by train and easily located the Ca'Nigra. The staff were very helpful, even happy to make us lunch when we arrived late afternoon. The maids cleaned the room twice a day and left little chocolates on our pillow! Positives: - Great bathroom... more

Very unique property. Small boutique hotel and very easily accessible from the Roma Bridge. They advertise that this property has junior suites. These are not junior suites in any way and what they advertise on their website is totally false. They do not give you bathrobes, however slips - yes. No type of music system in the rooms. Be careful... more

A great thing about this hotel is how fast you can get here- it's literally less than a 10 minute walk from the train station, yet its facing the Grand Canal! This little gem is behind a gate opening up onto a lovely garden ( you can appreciate it even in November!) and , as a refreshing change from most... more

We stayed at the Ca Nigra on a city break for 4 nights in August. Our flight had been delayed and we didn’t arrive at the hotel until well after midnight (we walked from the bus station and the streets were surprisingly well lit), the night receptionist warmly welcomed us and showed us to our room. Room 10 is not... more

Situated on the canal we arrived by boat around the corner and had to walk to find the hotel as there is no street signage or big banner with the hotel name on it. Rather, it looked like a house with a plaque on the wall. If we didn’t bother going up to the plaque to see what was on... more

We stayed at the Hotel Ca' Nigra for one night prior to getting on a cruise ship. We arrived after a long day of travel at 3:30 to find that our room which should have been ready at 2:00 would not be ready until 4:00. That was okay as they bought us a drink and we sat in the garden... more

The hotel has been totally refurbished a few years ago and is stunning BUT it is REALLY ANNOYING when you are a same sex couple to be asked if you are really sure you wanted to book a double bedroom and not a twin. You can expect that hotel charging up to £200/night would have taught their personnel what good... more

The location was perfect - a lovely 20 minute stroll through the backstreets of venice, provided you go the right way to start with! The garden area is a great place to sit and have a quiet drink in the evening and not too expensive either. We arrived by train and there is no need to wait for a vaporetto... more

It was a perfect stay. The hotel is far from the crowded center, yet close enough to walk there. The restoration of this little palace was very tasteful. The unique garden facing the Grand Canal, makes the property unique, as most of the Palaces have their gardens on the backyard. We were lucky enough to spend 4 days in Venice... more

My fiance and I are just back from a fantastic weekend in Venice, and couldn't recommend this wonderful hotel highly enough! From the moment we arrived by watertaxi (dropped to the door of the hotel) we encountered friendly efficient staff, and wonderful interiors. Our room was to the side of the hotel (room 102) and was exactly what you would... more
