This place is like a boutique hotel. There is no bar here, the breakfast in the morning is typical European. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very accommodating. If you are going to Venice this is the place to stay. I have been to Venice 3 times and if I ever went back I would stay here.... more

After arriving at the rail station, we took the water bus to St. Marks. We had a little difficulty actually finding the hotel the first time, because it has no big sign, but once we did we went into an old building that was TOTALLY modernized and quite lovely. Our room was a triple and it was actually a big... more

This hotel was great. When we arrived on the train and caught a water bus, it seemed like forever away, but when we got there, this was a hotel right in the heart of Venice. St. Mark's square was two streets away. The hotel staff were most polite and helpful and really attended to our every need. The room was... more

What I love about this hotel is that it is situated in a fabulous location. To get to the hotel itself, you have to wind down little street alleys - which you discover along the way and it adds to the holiday atmosphere. Being so close to St Mark's Square was a bonus given that the Campanile, Orological Clock Tower,... more

After reading reviews I contacted the hotel to book direct. They do not have a secure booking area and I had to telephone to give them credit card details but as they had a good command of English this wasn't a problem. We caught the Alilaguna vaporetto for 12 Euros pp from the airport which is a wonderful way to... more

This hotel has a very good location, with about a five minute walk from the main square. The only thing I didnt like was that the room was the smallest of all the rooms we stayed in during our trip through Italy. The shower was really small, very uncomfortable. But it is venice, so I guess that's how it is... more

I don't like booking anything unknown through the Internet, but this time we struck gold. Amazing location, everywhere is walkable from '511' The room (303) was good and quiet when the window was closed, (3rd floor overlooking the front) Airconditioning very good. Breakfast was very adequate and kept us going 'till our evening meal. Complimentary coffee, cold drinks and biscuits... more

Stayed three nights at the Ca Del Campo in mid May 2007. Paid 275/285 per night which is a lot of money, but that is Venice. The hotel had a great location, only five minutes walk from the Basilica, yet was quiet and away from the maddening crowds. The CDC is a boutique hotel and is probably an old converted... more

We have just returned from a long weekend in Venice, having booked the hotel with no knowledge other than other reviews, price and location as detailed on an internet site. The location was fantastic (2 mins from St Mark's Sqaure, 5 mins from the Realto bridge), the room was spotless and a very good size, the air conditioning worked very... more

would agree with the other reviews, we had a lovely stay. only negative thing I can say is that I was very suprised that the bed in the bedroom is actually a sofa bed, and to me when you book a room with a bed you are not really asking for a room with a sofa (which was never used... more
