Wow! One of my fave places in the world! If you are in Venice for one night it is not your best option but if you are there to stay for a few days it is just perfect. You can get to Lido by vporetto or by the free shuttle leaving from the neighbouring Excalibur every hour. Rooms are huge... more

This is a "Grand" hotel in the old style. In a good position on Venice Lido it has its own beach, gardens, pool etc. It is a very large hotel with great potential. Maybe there are better rooms but my huge room 130 was in dire need of a makeover. Pale carpet was badly stained, furniture chipped and the general look was of neglect. The bed was comfortable with great bed linen. The airconditioning unit was in the wall - the grille had fallen off and the wall wasbadly stained around the outlet.... more
