Over-rated......well past it's sell by date (as is the staff). The Splendido has one thing and one thing only going for it......it's location which is absolutely fabulous. This August was the third year in a row we have stayed here this time in a deluxe suite which had a small balcony with room for 2 chairs and a small table and a large separate sitting room. We stayed at the famous Splendido last July. The property is beautiful and I cannot understand the negative comments about this glorious Grande Dame of the Italian hospitality. We stayed at the Splendido for 4 nights. The rooms are old and need some serious rennovation. They are also really small.
