The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. This included good tips for where to eat and even to help with practical matters such as helping a sick traveller in our group. My 2 friends and I stayed in a suite at the Santa Maria. It was absolutely lovely! Very charming setting with the orange tree courtyard. (Would make a wonderful oasis from the summer heat.) What a wonderfull hotel in the middle of Trastevere in Rome. Trastevere is filled with nice restaurants and bars, on walking distance of all highlights in Rome. Breakfastbuffet is very good.
