I just got back from a three night stay at this hostal and would definitely recommend it for other travellers looking for a budget hotel in a great location. Rooms are a bit small, but on the other hand, they are all ensuite, they're clean and you get a great view from the eighth floor! The reception staff were really... more

The hotel was in a great location at the Gran Via end of Montera and easy stroll to Sol. The room was very new and clean and very comfortable. Reception was very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend. more

I was in Luis xv for one night on a trip to Madrid. As a major football match was on finding a reasonable hotel was difficult This hostel is immaculate and as high up no noise from the busy street-so very secure I had either a large single room or a small double with one bed Well worth the price... more

My fiancee and I stayed here in late Jan 07 after two nights in the excellent Hostal Acapulco (see my review) which is right around the corner. Unfortunately we needed to check out of the Acapulco which was full for the weekend with prior reservations. On the upside, the rooms are nice albeit small. They´re recently renovated and very clean.... more

The guest house is situated in the center of Madrid. It's within walking distance of pretty much everything. Unfortunately, the guest house itself leaved a lot to be desired. The entrance was surrounded day and night by prostitutes; we did not have heat in our room...not comfortable for a cold, January visit; and the staff, with the exception of the... more

I have stayed in hostal Luis XV in a single room. Overall quality of the hostal is well above average, I have seen there the cleanest bathrooms of my life. Excellent location (I doubt you could find anything more central) and very helpful staff. I can fully recommend it :) more

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. A good price for Madrid. Unfortuantley it appeared to be in the red light district and their were prostitutes in the doorway. However once inside the hotel it was great and they ahd a secure entrace policy. more

Hostal Luis XV was a great accomodation for our long weekend in Madrid. The hostal is located in the last floors of an ancient building in Calle Montera, a street linking Sol and Gran Via. While you're in the centre of the street and at the same time you can have a quiet room, as the street is at least... more

Prostitutes crowd the street outside and the elevator is rather dull. But mind you, once you reach the 8th floor, Hostal Luis XV welcomes you with a freshly polished glass entrance. Everything seems new here, things function, and it must be the cleanest hostel in Madrid. It's a family-run place with a pleasant atmosphere, helpful staff and reasonable prices. Luis... more
