A group of 4 colleagues stayed for 4 days for a conference. The hotel is very comfortable for business travellers - has all the facilities you need (except perhaps irons in the rooms - but they bring them when you need them). Seen poor reviews of the breakfast but we had a very different experience - a wide variety of... more

My husband and I stayed at the Melia for 3 nights. We booked through the Sol Melia website as there was a special offer (about £60 a night for a king size bed) which including breakfast for one day - which was not good! This was the only downside of our stay. The hotel is being refurbished and re-decorated. The... more

I booked two nights in Melia Princesa knowing the fact that in Spain 5 stars does not usually mean luxury as there is a 5 GL class for top hotels. However, 99€ (+breakfast 19€ pp) +tax 7% was quite good value in September. Some hotel brokers sell this hotel for 170€ (bf incl). The hotel is a terrible looking 1960's... more

Terrible decoration at the entrance, unfriendly check-in, no service (although personal avaiable). Room size ok, but old stuff. Bathroom so la-la. Lobby bar worn out. Breakfast is fantastic though! Location not. Will not repeat. more

I spent one night there and that was enough. The location is not good, and the decor is very tacky. I would not stay there again. It was rated 5 Star by Priceline, but 3 would have been much more appropriate. more

I stayed at Melia Madrid Princesa for almost a week on a business trip. Overall, I had a great experience at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice, and the breakfast buffet was awesome! Also, the gym was pretty good - small, but better than many American hotels. The bar in the lobby is also... more

I used to stay at the Princesa when in Madrid on business but lately I have been staying at their sister hotel, Los Galgos which is infinitely inferior. This trip, I insisted on the Princesa and I am glad I did. The staff were most friendly and helpful and the rooms are certainly bigger and better than the Galgos for... more

Stayed here for 4 nights in July as part of a touring holiday. Top value including an excellent buffet breakfast. We were on the top floor with a great view out over of the city. Room facilities were fine including free internet. A problem in the room with the connection was dealt with speedily if not entirely satisfactorily. Car was... more

I stayed at this hotel for a weekend away and would have loved to have stayed longer. The room was fantastic with a lovely view of the mountains in the distance and had everything we needed - was very luxurious! Breakfast was the best ever and the bar very good. Only downfall was the reception staff not sure if rude... more

Part of the Sol Melia chain, the Melia Madrid Princesa seems to be in need of a makeover. Luckily I arrived not from North America but by train from Barcelona so was not tired from a long transatlantic journey. Lucky as the reception staff were surly and prefunctory. The decor of the lobby would not be out of place in... more
