You cannot beat this hotel for location. The front door is merely yards away from Sol and the underground (there is a bit of noise from the trains in the hotel). It is surrounded by noise, bars, road works etc but you haven't come to Madrid for the peace and quiet. The hotel is quite stuffy - even in February... more

Great location for exploring central Madrid, museums and shopping (el Corte Ingles and many small shops). Gran Via is a short walk. Metro stop outside front door. Coffee shops and a couple of restaurants near. Chocolateria San Gines nearby (extremely important). Pharmacy next door. You can not ask for a better location! It is 5 steps from Puerta del Sol (which is the center of madrid). The hotel is modern, clean, and very comfortable. I stayed in room 701 which had a small balcony I took great pics from there. My reservation was made online and I got a great rate of 75 euros... more

This hotel is just off Puerta del Sol so is very convenient. The room was a bit spartan for the price we paid but at least was quiet. There was no digital safe unfortunately. Buffet breakfast had a good selection. If you can get a decent price this place is OK. more
