We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at the America. Staff were welcoming and efficient and the hotel is in a good area of Barcelona ~ safe and only a few minutes walk from the Passage de Gracia. I was very disappointed in the Hotel America. The rooftop pool looks like it hasn't been cleaned or filtered in ages. The water was full of floating slime and organisms. Absolutely disgusting.
