I was hesitant to book a two star hotel, but this place was my favorite hotel of our trip! What it lacked in amenities, it made up in charm. It is spotlessly clean and the rooms were very comfortable. The cheery yellow walls and beautiful mosaic tiles in the bathroom were very nice. And being on a side street, it... more
Hotel Sol suited our family of four very nicely. We enjoyed two nights in a simple but comfortable room on the ground floor. Our quad room overlooked a quiet, residential street. The room, with four beds all in a row, was simple but comfortable. Parking in their lot was a challenge and required some very precise driving. We did not... more
This is s small family run hotel some 10 mins walk up a very steep incline to the Plaza de Zocodover which is the main meeting area in the town. Rooms and bathrooms have been re-furbished and are of a good standard. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Hotel parking is available and is really a 'must ' .because... more
We stayed here for 2 nights in July 2007 and were really impressed by its cleanliness and value. It's located a short taxi ride from the train station, a bit off the main tourist areas in Toledo, which was fine for us. It's about a 7 minute uphill walk to Plaza Zocodover. There's a tiny plaza along the road across... more
We stayed the Hotel Sol June 28, 2007. Nice quaint hotel with friendly service, but not real easy to find. I think I found it by luck and the one sign we saw that indicated Hotel Sol to the right. We entered some arches and then had a choice of going towards the right or the left. We chose right... more
We spent two nights here in May 2007 in the Hotel Sol. (Apparently they have a hostal as well for a slightly cheaper cost.) The hotel is a bit hard to find by car. It is at the far end of a street which is connected by a few steps to the main road out to the Bisgra gate. However... more
Decided to stop in Toledo on our way to Granada from Donostia, had previously stayed at Hotel Santa Isabella but they were full, this was our 4th stop, they had plenty of room and were in a good location, turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Staff very helpful, above average room for Spain, reasonable price with breakfast, and as... more
I recommend this hotel - nice location, very clean and quiet, very nicely maintained. The hotel has been recently renovated. The persons from the reception were very nice and helpful - they are actually speaking English (if you visited Spain you know it's not easy to find a person who speaks English). The hotel is in the old town and... more
Great little hotel, inexpensive. Clean and staff was friendly. You have to walk uphill a bit to get into the city center, but it's not a long walk. Try "La Abadia" restaurant for a great dinner, the hotel staff can give you directions. The hotel has a nice breakfast option (bread, coffee, juice). You can park your car on the... more
