The hotel is done up in a modern European style with respect for the old house it is in. Our room for example had a great wooden collumn build in, the ceiling was purple and the furniture dark wood. There was wifi everywhere and two computers for free and easy access down in the lobby. The room style does however... more

Coulnd't ask for a better location in Bilbao as far as we're concerned. Right at the edge of the Old City, two tram stops from the San Sebastien/Bilbao train station, two blocks (just across the bridge) from the main Renfe station, and 4 tram stops from the Guggenheim. Noise from the Old City street below didn't really bother us, and... more

For your safety and sanity avoid this hotel. My travelling companion and I booked two single rooms at the full price of $125 per night and were placed in a section of the hotel undergoing renovations. Despite the price we were not told that the air conditioning in these rooms was not working so,on a stifling hot night,we had to... more

The location was great. We stayed 4 nights. Our room was on the main (busy) street. Good view, but noisy. Garbage trucks and street cleaners noisy in the early, early morning hours. Our last night there, a construction worker was sawing and hammering in the room next to us from 11:00 pm until midnight. We told the desk clerk about... more

This was a spotlessly clean and very convenient hotel. It was right on the edge of the old part of town (the best place for eating and drinking in the evenings), but was very quiet and comfortable. The room is decked out entirely in laminated wood (wooden floor, modern wooden bed, TV desk etc), and had a cute little balcony... more

The Petite Palace is a good option for the budget-minded traveler. Definitely a step up from Hostels or the like it offers good sized rooms with comfortable beds. Our room had a *small* enclosed balcony with views of the street and out to a sliver of the waterfront. I was in a party of 9 occupying 5 rooms, ours (#409)... more

The comments of most of the people regarding this hotel are pretty accurate. It has a brilliant location but a few oddities. The mix of old and new works well in some respects but not others. The brick-lined circular staircase is appealing as is the low-beamed restaurant on the top floor. The breakfast was good and internet access was better... more

This is an excellent hotel. It is in a fantastic location right at the edge of the old town in Bilbao. The room was in great condition and the bathroom was exceptionally clean and had all the mod cons. I highly recommend this place. The is no breaksfast included though unless you pay extra but there is a good quality... more

Fun hotel in a great location. The shower was broken, but they quickly fixed it (Although it took a good bit of convincing). Free internet in the lobby. Grade: B+ more
