The Globana is located just a couple of miles away from Leipzig-Halle airport. That was the only good thing about the location. Besides the airport, and a truck stop/gas station/McD there is not much out there. The rooms are clean, and really simple, no airco and in the summer they will provide you with a fan in the room. Stayed one night as we were catching a very early flt the next day. took a train from leipzig to local station (about 20 mins). its a long walk to the hotel. ok if you are fit. hotel is typical modern, low rise type. front desk staff all spoke good english. room size OK and very clean. beds firm. the... more

Not very close to the airport, and situated off a highway (no highway noise though) so in terms of scenery and position its not so appealing. To reach it you need a car or else you can ask for the shuttle service to pick you up at the airport. I was here for one very short night but the staff... more
