The Leonet is given an official 4 star rating but this is too generous. Other reviewers have commented on this generosity and I would concur. The frontage is a bit miserable and the reception area is on the small side with a few chairs scattered around. I guess people only use these chairs as there is no other general lounge... more
Good location, attractive price. Rooms are also OK. If you go with car, parking may be a problem unless you are willing to pay EUR15 to the parking garage close to the hotel. We didn't pay and parked on the street (free after 18:00 and Sundays). Just a tip :-) more
Went for a long weekend to Cologne and stayed at Hotel Leonet. What a great hotel is !!! Got a superdeal at 60 euro per night for a double room incl. a nice breakfast...The room was pretty standard, but exceptionally clean and well mantained. Staff was wonderful and very serviceminded. Cologne is one of the best cities I´ve ever visited... more
We booked a triple room, which in past experience has always ended up with the third bed being a fold away. Not in this case we each had a proper bed, the room was really quite spacious and the bathroom was enormous. No bath only a shower but don't use bath so not an issue.Very clean. Breakfast was good & plenty of... more
I stayed at this hotel for three nights early December on a trip to the Christmas Markets. I would not rate the hotel as 4 star but it was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower excellent. The staff were extremely helpful and spoke good English. The breakfast was extensive, buffet style and very good. The downside of this... more
Have just spent 2 nights in the Leonet, the rooms are average standard city hotel rooms but we were expecting better. There is a good choice at breakfast including bacon, sausages and eggs and plenty to chose from if you prefer a continental breakfast. The hotel is situated in a quiet street and all the sites and Christmas markets are... more
Like some previous reviewers I was disappointed by the hotel. But I have to say I partly blame the description of the hotel on the booking site which described it as “recently renovated, modern, bright with large windows”, and did not mention that any of the items I was looking for like room service, gym or sauna were not available... more
Hotel is on a quiet side street in a peaceful part of the city, on the edge of the main shopping/sightseeing part of the city. It’s about 3 minutes walk to Rudolfplatz which has pubs/restaurants, tram/underground connections to the centre, and an Xmas market. It's 5 minutes walk to another Xmas market at Neumarkt, and 15-20 minutes walk via some... more
I have just spent a Friday night at this hotel based in part on the reviews I read here. Initially I would have stayed at the nearby Ibis but I thought for the extra three euros the step up in class would be worthwhile. It was, but only just. How this hotel can be classed as 4 star is beyond... more
