We stayed for 4 nights at Hotel Kaiserhof in Offenbach just outside of Frankfurt. Although outside of frankfurt it's an excellently placed hotel - just two minutes walk from the train station and a few minutes from the main Marketplaz of Offenback (though to be honest I'd make the effort and hop on the train to Frankfurt). We stayed a week in Offenbach because all rooms in Frankfurt City were booked. The hotel was 1/2 block from the train station and it took six minutes to reach Frankfurt. The neighborhood was shabby, but very safe. The hotel has 29 rooms, very nicely decorated, and a dining room that serves wonderful meals. The best part was the staff.... more
