We stayed 3 nights at the Askansicher Hof, on recommendation of other TripAdviser users. Agree with everything I had read. The hotel is right on the middle of the Ku Dam, nearest underground is 1/4 mile walk. very nice hotel. the room they gave me was fantastic, much nicer than I had any reason to expect based on the price. an argument could be made for staying in east berlin where the action is, but there's a s-bahn stop near this hotel that gets you there in ten minutes. more

Good mix of european and north american guests. Very large, comfortable rooms. Very large breakfast. Even with the ascent of the euro which made this trip a bit more dear traveling on the dollar, the AH was a very well priced and delivered exceptional value. more
