Hotel is well-situated, and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. The surrounding area is pretty blah, as there isn't much to do or go to. The U-bahn (subway) is right by the front door, so there is easy access to the city. Staff is very friendly. Interestingly, the rooms are in much better condition than the public areas. more

We booked this Hilton because of the subway stop underneath during this cold winter weather. When you get off the subway, head toward Muffathalle-Gasteig and you will see the Hilton elevator. Stayed in Hilton Munich City for two nights in Feb’08. Hotel was very, very clean and in very good condition. Didn’t notice a single stain or worn out item anywhere inside the building. This was very easy to get to from the main train station (about a 10euro taxi or just 4 stops on the S-bahn). The location isn't quite central, but we could access the center of town through about a 10-15 minute walk.
