After a year travelling to and from Germany (and having stopped in all five other Intercontis in Germany), I can safely say that this is definitely the most spectacular. Situated in Obersalzburg (about 10 minutes drive from Berchtesgaden), the Interconti is in a remote and quiet location. It has one of the best views on the mountain looking down towards... more

This hotel is absolutely great! The service is impeccable, the furnishings and decor are modern, clean and comfortable, the accommodation is comfortable, large, stylish and spotless, the food is good and overall, the hotel is fantastic. I received a phone call the day before I was due to check in telling me that the Duplex suite I had booked was... more

This resort claims to be a one of a kind, luxury retreat in the German alps. For the most part, it is superb. The rooms are spacious, well lit, and boast high ceilings. The balcony is large, as well, with a (snail-paced) automated cover that can be employed to protect you from the elements should inclement weather sneak up on... more

This is probably one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at! From the minute you walk-in to your check-out you are treated with care and attention. The room, we were in a superior room with a balcony but no fireplace, was very clean and extremely well appointed. The ceilings are high which gives it an sense of being very... more

The views to the Alps are wonderful in all directions. The hotel hides away in a small valley approx 20km from the highway from Munich to Salzburg on the german/austrian border. The hotel is typical of the intercontinental standard with large rooms (by european standards), excellent service and good food choice. The hotel is large and sapcious with a stunning... more

This is a great hotel and one that deserves it Leading Hotel Status. The rooms were great with fantastic views and the service was excellent. The food was of a very high standard and catered very well for children although not many seemed to stay here. The spa is lovely but treatments get booked up very fast and it is... more

The hotel is in just outside the village of Berchtesgaden, about 30-50 minutes from Salzburg. It is easy to find up a steep road from the village. The signpost from the steep road can easily be missed as you are busy keeping the car on the road. Once in the hotel nothing is too much trouble for the staff as... more

Situated 15 miles from Salzburg airport and built over Bormans bunker the views are amazing. The outdoor heated pool gives you views of the mountains and is truely relaxing. The food is very good and the service is attentive. Be warned the sun on a summer evening can be blinding in the mid evening in the restaurant more

Service in the Hotel is hit and miss. Front desk is more "Sorry sir" and not "Certainly" or "I will ry". Concierge is never there - booth is manned by (very friendly) bell boys, who are not from the area and have no clue.... Also prices are a bit steep - even for this kind of a hotel. 24 Euro... more

The IC Hotel is built very near the site of the Berghof, which was the mountain home of Adolf Hitler, part of a huge Nazi complex. It is near the Eagle's Nest - a cafe which was built atop the mountain as a 50th birthday present for AH. With such a associations, it was with some reservation that we stayed... more
