I can only echo the reviews of others. The view from one's room is amazing and well worth the climb from the station (but you could take a taxi). Both breakfasts and dinners were very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Room had everything I needed (which is not luxury) more

The Vier Jahreszeiten hotel in Berchtesgaden is amongst the best hotels we've ever stayed in, and one we now recommend without hesitation to friends considering a stay in the beautiful Obersalzberg region. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and (thankfully) speak good English! They're also very helpful if you need to arrange taxis, shuttle buses, tours or early-morning breakfast packs.... more

We came to Berchtesgaden for one day in mid-October to go on the Eagles Nest tour (given by Eagles' Nest Tours, and I highly recommend it). When I saw the outside of the building I was a bit skeptical; however, when we saw our room we fell in love with it. It is not what you would expect in an... more

We stayed at this truly wonderful hotel, owned by the Miller family, for the third time last week, staying 4 nights. We have previously stayed in July 2006 and March 2007, the seasonal climate has made all 3 trips to be very different but all equally fabulous! We took a taxi from Salzburg airport to the 'Rathaus' in the city,... more

My family and I visit this beautiful hotel every year and each time, we all thoroughly enjoy our stay. Mr Peter Miller, the owner and chef is an excellent host, very welcoming and an outstanding cook. The rooms are spacious and very clean and the views down into the valley and over the mountains are breathtaking. The staff are very... more

Food really good even for a fussy 11 year old. Wonderful views of the mountains. Rooms old style and could do with a makeover but very clean. Staff attentive but only some speak good english however, their english was better than our german! The only thing that let this hotel down was that it is on a very busy road... more

Outstanding Hotel. Peter Miller the owner and chef runs a wonderful Bavarian Hotel. The restaurant is a wonderful place to eat and reasonably prices. You will enjoy the hotel and the view. Hotel is in town but has good parking. Peter is a golfer so you can talk with him about golf at breakfast--which is excellent. more

Stayed for 2 nights in one of their double rooms, southern aspect, with a balcony (No. 59). Very glad we paid the extra as the view of the Watzmann was amazing. We could also see Kehlsteinhaus (Eagles Nest) and even though we overlooked the railway station they were the quietest trains ever - could hardly hear them. It was also... more

We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is typically German and very very Bavarian. Waitresses in national dress, lots of dark wood, antlers etc. Please eat at the hotel - on the basis of the reviews on this website we booked half board and were really glad that we did. The food was of a high standard,... more
