we stayed 3 nights in the hotel. the room was good size; clean; non-smoking and looks like it was renovated. short walk to the train station, and a short walk to the city center (less than 7min). friendly and helpful staff, good parking place (7 euro per day ) and a nice breakfast. all in all- very nice. more

My wife and I have stayed at the Hotel Rheingold on four different trips (the first stay was an accident; we obviously enjoyed the experience). Nice, relatively large, clean rooms with hardwood floors, great beds (with duvet), and quiet -- despite being only a short walk to the train station. This used to be a 3 or 4 star hotel... more

We stayed in the Rheingold for 4 nights. The room we were given was a smoking room but very large. We asked for a non-smoking room and was given a much smaller room so we put up with the smoking room( which had a very slight whiff of smoke) and aired the room and within a few hours, the smell... more
