To be honest I was a little disappointed with the Mercure Lyon Wilson. The location was fine, just over the river to the old town (about a 15 minute walk). just on teh south side of the river this is a small quiet business hotel. They are renovating the place so there are some building works continuing but the room we had 402 was completely new. You could still smell the new paint. It has a small underground car park which is lift operated. its a 10 minute walk over... more

Good location. Convenient for a stroll to both the old town and for Gare Part Dieu for the TGV heading south. No trouble with check-in. Reasonably efficient and pleasant. Room good. Fairly large with decor in good condition. Likewise the bathroom. Secure underground parking (we didn't reserve it and had no trouble getting a spot arriving on a Saturday afternoon).... more
