Honestly guys, if you don't want to break the bank this is where you should stay. It's a short (5 mins) walk to the beach and a walk to Old Town for all the restaurants. This is an awesome hotel situated right in the centre of Nice yet you wouldn't know it as it's in a nice quiet courtyard of it's own. You basically have to walk through another building first then over a little bridge to get into the hotel Rex building. It's in a lovely courtyard with purple flowers growing up the walls.... more

I stayed for the second time in this quaint, friendly and very well-located little hotel. It is under new ownership and the new owners seem intent on offering the same friendly level of service as in the past. Location is excellent. Owner and family are very friendly and helpful. more

Booked as a result of Tripadvisor reviews and am glad I did. A great location in the centre of town and within one minute's walk of the Massena tram stop which makes getting around simple. Rex is spotlessly clean with simple yet extremely tastefully-furnished rooms. No bland corporate shelving units here but reclaimed and 'distressed' old furniture in muted tones.... more

I just loved this hotel. It is clean, comfortable, in an ideal location and you can't beat the price. The staff are friendly, always willing to help and give advice. The rooms are beautiful. Every single one of them are different. I stayed here about 10 years ago, and the difference is amazing. The owner has done a great job!!!!! more
