The Martinez Hotel was our first stop on a 3 resort stay and is situated in a great position and has a lively feeling as you enter the lobby. Check-in was fast and the receptionist accompanied us to our room, giving us information and showing us the different areas within the hotel. The room was bright and clean and the... more

Just return from a week in Cannes at Hotel Martinez. I will start by saying that I have vacation in Paris last year and am accustomed to French travel. We arrived around 2:00 pm, checked in and our room was ready for us. Booked a very basic standard room on my own (not through a website or agent) and was... more

I found the hotel disappointing for many reasons. First, the beach is very expensive and does nothing to make hotel guests feel welcome. Anyone can stroll up to the beach and pay the same price admission as hotel guests who are spending €500+ so I don’t see the point. They do not offer you priority seating, price or service. No... more

On booking my short stay at the Martinez I was hoping for an exclusive hotel but what I found was what you could expect from an every day chain hotel. The furnishings were ‘non offensive’, the rooms ‘standard’ and the décor ‘trying but dated’. The over the top opulence of flash cars parked outside made you feel as if they... more

Stayed at the Martinez for three nights over the Bastille day holidays and found the entire experience much better than my expectations. Bastille Day is also my birthday, so I was looking forward to a special stay. Check in was very friendly and helpful, with the desk staff member escorting us to our room and explaining a lot about the... more

As a guest of a friend I was able to gauge The Martinez quite dispassionately ie. not having to pay for it!! All I can say is it's very overrated, very expensive and in many ways quite dull. The staff seem to think they are on a movie set and quite alouf. The room was nice, very clean and at... more

Not sure I entirely agree with the more negative reviews but I would have to say that I was alittle disappointed with our short stay at the Martinez. To me it just didn't feel special enough for the substantial cost. A £400 room should feel special. The staff were fine, perhaps abit snooty but they were attentive. Our room was... more

We stayed at The Martinez a little while ago and decided (felt compelled even) to write my very first review having stayed in a great many hotels over the years. Although I was very much a business visitor to Cannes I expected the Martinez to be more than just a 'Business Venue,' having heard so much about the place, it's... more

my family have been going to the martinez a lot for several generations. i think it the hotel where i stayed that was the closest to the beack. it takes, watch in hand, less than 1 minute from the lobby to the beach. great. the hotel is the best location on the frnech riviera. wonderful. the concierge, clef d'or, is... more

I was invited to the Martinez by a colleague and must admit to being quite excited even though I am a seasoned traveller. Frankly I am staggered what the Martinez get's away with; the decor is shabby, the design very tired and too be honest the whole ambience tacky, which attracts tacky loud people. Worse still were the expensive add-ons;... more
