Whilst in a nice location, I wouldn't recommend anyone staying at the Garoupe for the atmosphere and the hotel did seem rather empty, which was extremely odd for Cannes Festival week when it is almost impossible to get a room anywhere. More to the point, the owner of the hotel treated us in an appalling way. He was manifestly rude... more

We stayed at the Imperial Garoupe in September and absolutely loved it. On the first night we had dinner in the hotel restaurant which is very pretty and the food was superb. We spent 5 days in glorious sunshine at both the beach (Plage Keller) and around the pool. The pool is perfect and the surrounding gardens are really beautiful.... more

Date 10.06.07 Reviewer A TripAdvisor Member, Romsey, UK Like most of the other reviews the hotel is overpriced, the staff in general were OK until you had to deal with the management who were rude and very short sighted. An example of this, was when we were were trying to find out about booking a special lunch to celebrate our... more

This was our 4th stay at the Imperial which still divides opinions as much as ever. We think it's a great destination for a quiet weekend without the kids. It's a small two storey property. The garden view first floor rooms are the ones we prefer as you don't get disturbed by the pool noise. We like: The slightly gallic... more

I've just returned from a stay at the Imperial Garoupe and my advice would be to stay away from this chilly, mean-spirited little place. The hotel has a great location in one of the most luxurious areas of the Cote D'Azure and some beautiful grounds, but it was devoid of any warmth, charm or sense of place. Despite the pink... more

The hotel looks very nice, both inside and outside. The pool is good, and the (very crowded) beach is a short walk. Rooms are nicely decorated and all in all people are very friendly. It was high season and the hotel wasn't full. 90% of guests were Russians. Our issue, however, is the management. We had an problem and it... more

The hotel is marvelous. It is very close to 4 private beaches, some of the prettiest in France. The service is good, food is good. A nice, quiet pool, parking, etc. It is absolutely beautiful more

In my opinion this place is very very expensive I payed 350 euro per night. The breakfast was awful and very expensive. The hotel is in a nice location but not near to the beach, the decor is nice but nothing special. When I returned from my break I was overcharged £850 for a small red mark on my bedspread... more

I stayed here in early September 2002, and despite the picture in the brochure, was disappointed on arrival. The hotel suggests 4*, quiet location, private beach etc. The reality is that the hotel is on a busy road, the private beach is so private it belongs to someone else, charges for use and is not connected to the hotel. The... more

Recently, we stayed at the Imperial Garoupe in Cap d'Antibes during a holiday in the area. We were sold on the hotel by the fact that it was located in Cap d'Antibes and by the hotel's well-designed website. However, while the location is excellent, the service was somewhat disappointing -- while at the same time being well-intentioned. We were there... more
