Hotel was an overnight stop from Switzerland to the Channel. Finding it was not easy, but the satnav didn't foresee the roadworks affecting the immediate area. The best hotel we've stayed at in Metz after at least 10 overnight stays. Very quiet. Comfortable bed. Reasonably well-equipped. Very nice, polite, and courteous staff and service, despite our pathetic command of the French language. Nonetheless, there were remarkable negatives. La Citadelle is located close to the city centre with Galeries Lafayette a short five minute walk away. Reception staff helpful and room was spacious and clean. Stylish ,pleasant and modern decor.
