My wife and I stayed here for 5 days last July (2008) and could not have been happier with the hotel and room we got. By Paris standards, it was a spacious room (deluxe), clean, modern, and well located (steps from St. Lazare train station). The design of this boutique hotel (Hotels & Preference) suited our contemporary yet simplistic tastes... more

ALL Paris hotel rooms are small and the Villathena is no exeption however apart from the cramped space the hotel is great. Staff could not be more helpfull and the hotel is so so so clean and your room smells fresh. Its a great location a short walk to the Opera house where you can catch the shuttle bus to... more

I have to admit, I feel as though I stayed in a different hotel to the one reviewed on here. Firstly, the location: this is good - near to Printemps department store, restaurants, bars and surrounding Metro stations, etc. The hotel itself is located on what I thought was a quiet road. However, I got hardly any sleep due to... more

I stayed with my boyfriend for two days Monday to Wednesday. The location was excellent, surrounded by lots of restaurants and bars in Place St Lazare. Really close to a main train station (twenty minutes from Gare du Nord on train) and was only two stops on the metro from Place de la Concorde. It was also only a five... more

My boyfriend & I have just returned from a short-break in Paris staying in the Villathena for 3 nights, I was pleased that we booked here. I had done some research before booking & was a little nervous beforehand due to some of the reviews, however I was pleasantly suprised by Villathena. The rooms are fairly small (but that's exactly... more

Stayed here for 3 nights. Agree with a lot of the other comments. Rooms are small, bed is huge (& hard!), bed linen clean & warm. No double glazing, so street noises are easily heard even though it's a small side street. Revving motor scooter riders are particularly common at 4am! Female receptionist is friendly & helpful & speaks good... more

On arrival at Villaathena our first impression was nice design but disorganised chaos, our room wasn't ready at 2 pm. We were eventually shown to our room which unusually was on the ground floor opposite reception. My first instinct was to ask for an alternative as it was clearly going to be noisy, this request was refused by staff who... more

Once again, just returned late yesterday from a weekend stay in Paris, with my eight year old son. No problem to reach the hotel by public transport. We´re arrived at Orly, by the Orlyval train to RER B Anthony station, further to Magenta station to change for RER E, final destination Gare Lazare/Haussmann, not more than five minutes to walk... more

We got a good deal and the hotel is in a central and convenient area near St Lazare station. As others have said it has been updated from what I presume is an old building in a triangular shape. The rooms are small - to say the least - but well fitted with a wonderfully comfortable large bed which took... more

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in June. Good things : The hotel is location is good. 5 to 10 mins stroll to the large departmental stores. We even walked to the Lourve Museum and the Bacilica of the Sacred Heart in Montmartre, on separate days of course. There are a few pastisseries around for breakfast. We got... more
