We stayed for just one night when attending the Arena for a concert. It was ideally located for the venue and shops and restaurants nearby. The car parking under the hotel was reasonable price for 24 hours but if full the neighbouring car park was very expensive. Hotel had a bar (although cheap hotel does not equal cheap bar prices)... more

Stayed in room 519.River side of hotel. Family room, 1 double bed.2 sofa beds with pull out beds. Tea tray . T V. Things as expected for this old Travelodge. But in the morning turned on the shower and clunk clunk, very noisy. Had to turn the shower on full blast to stop the noise. Then noticed the water wasn't draining... more

We stayed for one night before the Santana concert at the M.E.N. the room was travelodge basic but clean and warm. The staff very friendly and were very apologetic when a computer problem meant we had trouble checking in. Breakfast was fine, typical english, no frills but edible. A basic hotel which is great for a one night stay for... more

OK, maybe not the ideal time to review this hotel as it was full of football fans for UEFA Cup Final (myself included) but here goes. The hotel is located very well for the city centre but is a little shabby and could do with a freshen up. Rooms are basic but clean. Staff however were very friendly and helpful.... more

We stayed at the Manchester Central Travelodge when we had a weekend away. The location, just off Deansgate, is ideal. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Just remember to take some earplugs as it can get noisy at night. more

Good location and good size rooms. There was a smell of damp from the shower curtain which spread into the room and mold on the tiles. Travelodge need to a mini makeover of their rooms as they are very tired. The sofa in the room was broken - it was impossible to sit back without the back of the sofa... more

Stayed at the Travelodge hotel for one night 29 March 2008. The only positive I will give the hotel is that the location is spot on for shopping and the bars (literally walk over the bridge and you're there). However, here is the negatives I took from our stay there. Our room smelled the moment you walked in and we... more

I have stayed in a few Travelodge's now and they have all been fine but the one in Central Manchester was really disgusting! When we arrived there was dirt everywhere. On closer inspection, some of the 'dirt' was squashed spiders! They were still stuck to the walls. There were also live spiders running across the floor. It was very scary.... more

We booked this hotel for one night (on a Monday )to see our student daughter perform at a comedy event. We chose to book a family room in case we had to bring one of our teenage sons (but didn't in the end). Being a family room it was spacious and in a quiet part of the hotel and at... more

I stayed one night in the Travelodge, Manchester Central in November 2007. The hotel is located close to the shopping area, and very conveniently for the MEN Arena and Victoria railway station. Despite the central location, my ground-floor room, which overlooked the river, seemed relatively quiet (or as good as you can hope for in a city centre). The room... more
