Needed a last minute room in Manchester and this really fitted the bill. It's not city centre but its on a very busy/frequent bus route from the city centre (buses 41 to 44 all go down the main road just two minutes walk away), it's about 15-20 minutes from the centre. Booked 2 rooms for my graduation from MMU. Flew from Dublin from a very stressful few days where flights were being cancelled and delayed due to radar problems.
