We stayed at this hotel for one night in August this year. We booked it so that we did not have to drive home having met our friends for a meal. The room was large and clean, although the decor was a touch dated! We were allowed to park in the car park opposite for free. The staff were friendly... more

We stayed overnight at the King Street Hotel on the way to France and were pleased with the hotel in every respect. The large room (four poster bed) was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and well cooked. The manager/owner (?) went out of his way to give us directions - which took us straight to our destination.... more

We stayed at the King street hotel on the 26.02.06. The location was great as it is close to all the amenities for a great night out (bars, restaurants etc) or a night in (on the end of a main road, not loads of traffic, supermarkets). The room was on the small side even for English standards but the bathroom... more

I am sorry you did not like our hotel. The hotel was converted from a Georgian rectory so all the rooms do differ in size. There is always a basket of fresh fruit on the sideboard. We tend to cook our bacon well done as we get many requests for crispy bacon. Baked beans are listed on our menu so...

Although hotel located on main road, heard very little noise from traffic and people on way home from night out and our room was front facing amd I'm a light sleeper! Room was clean and cosy, bathroom was spotless. Staff were pleasant, Good English breakfast that cured my hangover ! Best of all it took us 2 minutes to walk... more
