My husband and I stayed at the Old Swan in Harrogate and loved it. There was an olde world feel to the hotel, and we were both felt like we were in an Agatha Christie book. The rooms are nice and big, and the breakfast is good as well. We love Harrogate and would go back to this hotel again.... more

Clearly we forgot our rationing books. Not only were the baked beans counted (10 each), but soap and shower gel rationed. It was all going well until we ordered 2 sets of "ROASTED VEGETABLES" at dinner - expecting maybe chargrilled aubergines, peppers, maybe potatoes.
