We stayed here in August 2008 and had a room with balcony. Great views over the port and we spent hours watching the ships come and go and the motorists drive off and on. Biggest problem was with the vegetables - all 3 days we had the same - mashed potato, carrot & swede. Oh, one day we had more... more

Our family of seven from Asia were visiting Ireland for the first time. The reception we received on arriving after a long journey was cold and regimented. The two rooms we reserved were smelly and dusty. Breakfast the next morning is not worth much comment. However, the service from restaurant staff was sub-standard and again cold and unfriendly. My family... more

We spent the last night of our holiday at this hotel because we had a ferry to catch early the next morning and there wasn't much else available when we booked. The room was dirty with a horrid brown blanket on the bed. We had a balcony overlooking the port but the chairs were filthy. We were above the bar... more

Found the great deal on the net and booked with an open mind. We knew there would be live music each weekend night but were up for it. Nice small hotel with welcoming staff who appeared to be locals. The room was average and needed a little updating (be sure to have the heating turned on for you). Breakfast was... more

Stayed at this hotel recently for 1 night following a very enjoyable holiday in West Cork. Clean and good location for our return journey home on the ferry. more

We stayed here overnight as we needed somewhere to stay close to the ferries to get to Wales. The hotel was ok but basic and not nice enough to warrant a stay longer then one or two nights. The worst part though was the very loud music played for hours late at night which apparently is the case numerous times... more

Stayed here on a trip to Galway, had 2 x dinners and 2 x breakfasts, one of each on the way out and one of each on the return journey. Breakfasts were good, food hot and plentful although self selection would have been better. dinner on both occasions were at best WARM and not many choises. Staff pleasant, bar good,... more

I recently stayed for one night at the Hotel Rosslare and whilst I found the staff to be quite friendly the accommodation itself was very much substandard. The rooms were very plain and in obvious need of substantial renovation. I didn’t get too much sleep as doors continuously banged shut during the night and the walls appeared to be very... more

I recently stayed in Hotel Rosslare for the weekend. While the reception was nice and resembled the photos on the web site the rest of the hotel was very disappointing. Our room was very plain, with stains on the floor and looked nothing like what was advertised on the web site. Also our room smelt of smoke for the 2... more

From the moment we arrived at the Hotel Rosslare, we were very pleasantly surprised by the hotel staff's genuinely friendly manner. The hotel appears to be under new management, and there is no phoniness in the welcome and subsequent attitude to guests. The food was delicious and the bar menu reasonable and equally good. The atmosphere throughout was one of... more
