We stayed at the Fitzwilton for two nights at the beginning of October. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel itself is in a very good location for the city centre, the room was well furnished, warm and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice, if there was anything that you wanted but wasn't on show,... more

The Fitzwilton is in an ideal location and is just round the corner from the train station- which is the probably the best way to travel to Waterford. It was a modern and glitzy place with the reception areas, bars and bedrooms being up to date. It was also very clean and I liked the toiletries in the bedrooms- even... more

Really nice rooms, food and bar. Service in restaurant very slow, had to wait forty minutes for starters no apologies. Trying to get drinks to your table during dinner near impossible. We were not even offered a wine list. Overall we would go back as it was very clean and worth the money. Just watch out for the church bells... more

The Fitzwilton Hotel in Waterford is a modern, clean and well priced hotel in the heart of the city centre. I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights and paid €100 per night for 2 people sharing including breakfast. The hotel is stylish with a nice (maybe a bit small) reception area, bar and resturaunt. Our room was well sized,... more

my husband's mistake was assuming that a hotel that opened in 2006, describing itself as, "sleek, contemporary" having rooms with plasma tv's would have modern ammenities. WRONG! No a/c, room opened up onto alleyway and when we went to call the desk.... no phone! We packed up and closed the bill- no questions as to why we were not staying... more

Stayed in this hotel on the 5th and 6th of September (Supervalu Breaks). Found the hotel really nice, nice room and very clean bathroom. We stayed in Room 114 which mostly was very quiet but we did hear people passing at all hours but nothing that kept us awake for too long!! Breakfast and evening meal were lovely, bar food... more

We stayed in the Fitzwilton just as an overnight break away. It was a nice, clean hotel. The room we had was spacious, comfortable and had 2 double beds. Wireless internet access is free. There was a (small) flat screen tv mounted on one of the walls. Tea and coffee facilites were present. I booked it online and paid a... more

We had two rooms at this hotel in August for 4 days and thought it was lovely. It is in a noisy location as it is on a main road and lorries trundle down the hill all night instead of using the road along the quays. If the rooms were air-conditioned you would not have to open the windows so... more

Booked the fitzwilton for a girlie weekend away, for the price it was a great deal. The hotel is spotless and the rooms are lovely. Dinner was mediocre nothing special the staff in the restaurant weren't great, just seemed to have no interest but this seemed to be the case everywhere we ate in waterford. There were a number of... more
