The Hotel is rated 4 * It should be in my opinion 1* The linen is not clean, esp towels. We did not stay we left at 8pm to find an other hotel. I was also very upset by the rude unhelpfull reception staff. The duty manager was pleasant and did try to help. more

Like several other reviewers have said there's nothing special about the George. It's just a nice, clean 3 star hotel. However, the location is perfect, right in the center of town. The entrance is not obvious. The Hotel's address is O'Connell st. but you enter though Shannon st. around the corner. The reception looks very fancy with all kind of... more

Stayed at The George for a girls night out. The hotel was very centrally located, near shops, pubs, clubs, restaurants. Found the rooms clean, well equipped (tv, tea and coffee making facilities, iron on request). As we were in a large group not all rooms were ready on arrival but there was not too long a wait. Our room was... more

The hotel is very centrally located - bar is nice, busy and popular. The hotel is very overpriced for what it is.. it is a lowly 3 star hotel, and not worth the money. When we checked in at 6 in the evening, breakfast trays were still on the floor from room service and were still there the following morning.... more

Have just come back from a week end break to Limerick. Was there for the Baton twirling champion ship in august The hotel is in a great location and the service very good. clean rooms and comfortable beds. There is a nice bar , which seem to be very popular with locals as well as guests. Limerick itself is a... more

The George Hotel was located in the centre of Limerick City, great if you want to get to the Hunt Museum, King John's Castle and the cathedral. You have to pay for parking during the hours of 8.30 a.m. - 6.30 p.m which can addan extra 17 euros per day to your room rate. However we went driving out to... more

The George Boutigue Hotel offered excellent value for money and is centrally located in the heart of the city. We stayed in December, to watch Munster rugby. The hotel is within walking distance to the ground, and is very close to the other chain hotels. Hotel breakfast was excellent, and great value for money (around £5 sterling equivelant, but not... more

After staying here at the weekend I looked up the definition of a "boutique hotel" and found the following "A small property, typically offering an enhanced level of service and marketed to the affluent". The George is not small with over 120 bedrooms and I really didnt think the service was that great. We arrived at 3:45 on a Saturday... more

I dont know what the gripes are drom some of the previous reviews. Hotel is dead central entrance just 20 yds down side St. off O'Connell St (The main drag) Decor modern, minimalist-ish, beds really good, rooms very clean & decent size with flat screen TV. Staff very friendly and welcoming & VERY HELPFULL, ringing round to finf restaurant availability... more

I was here with my girlfriend in April 2008 - the room cost about €100 and I would say it was worth it. As other reviewers noted, the entrance to the hotel is on the side street and the hotel is difficult to spot on O'Connell St. The room was lovely, very quiet and comfortable with plenty of light and... more
