We stayed at the Malton as part of a tour group. It is located adjacent to the rail station in Killarney and is within walking distance of all of central Killarney City. This is a great location for visits to the excellent Killarney National Park. The hotel is quite old and is formerly one of the Great Southern Group of... more

The room was well appointed with a significant amount of space, the facilities (pool, reading room, tennis courts, hotel grounds) were nice, and the breakfast was good. The location is also excellent. Probably the best hotel during our trip in Ireland. more

Spent 2 nights as part of a CIE Tour. My wife and I were booked into twin (separate) beds (didn't realize that you had to specifically ask for double or queen). Front desk staff was very accommodating in switching. Lobby and bar had great decor. Rooms a little dated but perfectly fine and very clean. Location was great as you... more

The Food was... more

When we were in need of some assistance from housekeeping they were there instantly. The location was perfect for exploring the town and its surroundings. Our corner room overlloked the front street and was very peaceful. Wonderful work... more

We stayed for 5 days in the Malton over the Easter period with our three children who are aged between 7 and 11. The hotel has experienced a major makeover since we were last there and it shows. The public rooms are excellect and you could lounge around in them for the whole day they are so good. The food... more
