We travelled to Killarney for a hill-walking weekend and booked our beds in Aurora based on what we'd read on the web. We were totally blown away by both our hosts Liam and Mary and by the excellent standard of accommodation they provided. Warm, modern and perfectly presented rooms, fabulous breakfasts (Mary's home baking is the best!) and friendly advice... more

We had reservations to stay 8/22.We were unable to find Aurora House due to lack of signage. When we expressed our frustration we were not allowed to stay because the "mood was wrong" The owner said she didn"t want riff-raff off the street. It is not Board of Tourism approved. They are using the internet to skim the elite tourists... more

In response to a review from Traveller 9969 Michigan, I feel I have to tell my side of the story. The couple arrived in the evening for their stay. They had a problem trying to find us. No matter how difficult it was for them it didn't warrant their behaviour. The woman was shouting at me and appeared to be...

We spent 2 nights at the Aurora B+B recently and I cannot recommend it enough. The house is spotless and excellently presented, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the hosts, Mary and Liam, very friendly. Breakfast was exceptional with fruit, cereals, juices, home made scones and muffins and a full fry, cooked to your specifications. It was excellent value and... more

A large group of friends (4 couples) have just returned from 2 nights at the Aurora B&B and found it to be an ideal place to stay in every respect. The house is fabulously decorated, very new and spotlessly clean. The bed must be the most comfortable I've ever slept on!! Breakfast was lovely, fresh cerals, fruit and any variation... more

We stayed there for 4 nights and absolutely loved it. The B&B is very new and spotless. The interior is modern and the owners put some thoughts in how to arrange everything most practically. The breakfast was excellent and prepared to our wishes. Hosts Mary and Liam were very helpful with tips where to go in the area - even... more

Brand new house, just opened in 2005. Spotless on the inside and outside. Very well kept. It looks like it has been decorated completely from Ikea though. The hostess even admits that she wants it to be very minimalist. The host and hostess are new to the area, having moved over from Dublin. NOTE: CASH ONLY! This B&B is extremely... more

This was a real treat for us. We had been traveling in Ireland for longer than a week when we came to this destination that we booked through a B&B connection site on the Web. It was so clean and yet warm. It was well thought in design and comfort. The couple running this establishment are incredibly hospitable and kind.... more
