I was disappointed with this hotel. Perhaps my expectations were set too high by the website (which incidently has to be awarded the prize of providing the worst directions to a hotel, in that there are no directions, just driving times and a bad map) or the expectation set by the five stars. Firstly I must state that all the... more

Dear Sparky I am delighted to have this oppertunity to respond to your review. Firstly we do not opperate any family apartments at the 5 Star Muckross Park Hotel and Cloisters Spa and secondly why does it take such an unhappy guest one year to make such a very serious complaint about us and a further two years to make...

Having just read the mixed reviews of this hotel, I feel compelled to give my own account of a recent stay. My husband and I stayed in Mucross Park for a weekend in December and loved it so much we are returning to celebrate our anniversary next month. The only minor flaw with our stay was when dining in GB... more

My husband treated me to a romantic weekend break minus the baby and we had an fantastic stay in this very special hotel. We enjoyed dinner in the Restaurant which was top class, food was lovely. Lunch in the pub (part of the hotel), again great pub food, completely different experience to dinner the previous night in the restaurant but... more

I have stayed in this hotel four times and I have to say it is by far one of the nicest hotels in Ireland. I have stayed in other hotels with Spa's and this is one of a kind. The Cloisters spa is remarkable, it is never packed and the staff are fantastic.I had stayed in Inchydoney a few months... more

My family, a group of 13 in total ranging in age from 4 to 80, spent the weekend in this glorious hotel. The location is perfect and the hotel and the staff are definitely something to write home about. We lunched and dined in the bar beside the hotel on Friday - Molly Darcy's - and had a full-blown 5... more

Visited Muckross Park to meet up with friends who were on a two night break in the hotel. Firstly, the web page is totally misleading, the opening page giving the impression that somewhere in the immediate vicinity or at least in view from the hotel is a lake! Certainly not in view from my room, nor from either of the... more

My husband, our baby and I stayed there for one night – can’t remember but must have been a Saturday night. Absolutely loved the hotel. They arranged for babysitting. A very pleasant local girl arrived exactly at the agreed hour and babysat our daughter. It was our first time we were leaving our baby with a sitter at night time,... more

Let me first start by saying that their web site is completely misleading. It shows it as being an idyllic paradise set in woodland with only the sound of the lake to comfort you. This is not the case it is barely set back from a main road and there is no grand drive way or entrance just a big... more
