The owner was friendly and welcoming. She prepared us a complimentary tea and a snack when we arrived. The room was cosy, but comfortable and very clean. The beds good and the bath small, but adequate. Breakfast was excellent classic Irish with the unusual addition of fresh fruit. Downtown was an easy busride from just outside on the sidewalk and... more

Lovely bed and breakfast. Clean and comfortable with friendly, welcoming owner. Not in centre of Dublin but short bus ride away from bus stop right outside. Would definitely recommend. more

We ended our vacation staying at this place and what a great B&B! The host met us at the door and gave us coffee and tea and some muffins so we could unwind after our drive. He also recommended places to eat and things to do in the evening. This was all relayed in a cheerful manner even though I'm... more

I have to agree with the other reviews about cleanliness and hospitality. The location is excellent as it is on several bus routes running to the airport and downtown. We never felt like we missed a car ...... and glad we didn't attempt it. My daughter got an insect bite at a part and Bernadette provided an ointment to take... more

My friends and I stayed at the Azalea lodge 3 days in July. The B&B was spotless with an excellent breakfast - and the owners were very friendly and went well beyond normal hospitality to make sure our stay in Dublin was wonderful. more

the Azalea Lodge was even better than we expected (and we researched the tripadvisor reviews.) All our usual expectations were met...cleanliness, great breakfasts, good location, helpful hosts..the five star rating from us comes from the extras : our hosts drove our friend to their doctor because she had an earache and they met my son at the busstop when he... more

Bernadette did everything within her power to make our stay as pleasant as possible. When we return to Dublin I'll be heading right back to the Azalea House. It's easy to access buses and head into the city center. It's a 9-10 euro taxi ride back if you're out too late for the buses to bring you back. The thing... more

We spent our first four nights in Ireland at Azalea Lodge and the experience couldn't have been better. We arrived mid-morning from Canada rather tired, but were welcomed with coffee and biscuits. We were lucky that a room had just been serviced so we were shown to our room right away. We had a back room and it was quiet... more

I stayed at the Azalea Lodge for my birthday in June. The owners are very generous and extremely accommodating. (I stayed out a bit late on my birthday and woke up late and the owners still made me a full Irish breakfast!) Speaking of the Irish breakfast, it was the best we had in Ireland. They can also adjust to... more

We arrived on Padraig's doorstep at 6:30 am after an overnight flight, tired and hungry. Padraig greeted us with a smile, warm tea, and assorted fruits and biscuits. We rested in the beautiful dining room until breakfast was served at 7:30. We were also able to leave our bags until we checked in later that day. The full Irish breakfast... more
