We booked the Lynams hotel just because of its location. It really is a perfect location. Walking distance from the Temple bar area and a little bit of a hike to Gusiness. We caught the city bus from the airport and it dropped us off directly in front of the hotel - very convenient! Hote is nothing special but we... more

Went to stay in the Lynams hotel, only to find out when we arrived we were told to come back at 2.30pm.. When we returned, we were told we were being transferred to another hotel, due to over bookings and internet problems. Problems that should been fixed. The Hotel in which we did get transferred to was outside the city... more

After spending a glorious day at Dublin Zoo what a disappointing and horrible experience we had to endure when we dined at this hotel. On menu outside it claims it is a informal italian restaurant which we thought would be suitable for our little toddler. We were served by a lady who neither welcomed us or smiled thoughout the service.... more

Even the great location cannot help, if the hotel (or at least room 2) had BED BUGS and FLEAS. This is not a joke, I'm afraid, since I got bitten really badly and had a major allergic reaction which is still going on. I have travelled a lot and never in 50 years met those little beasts. Avoid this hotel,... more

Management response from

I am deeply saddened by the experience this guest has whilst staying with us. If we had of been notified during their stay we would of course dealt with this immediately. The comfort of our guest is of the upmost importance to us. I have now investigated these claims fully and have given them my full attention. Lastly, I apologise...

had a problim finding this hotel as it is sandwiched between a spar shop and mc donalds .on the outside looks shabby but rooms where basic and clean with fresh towels daily also rooms were cleaned daily . staff were friendly and a good breakfast provided . On the downside there was no air conditioning as we were on the... more

Excellent location, right next to the spire in the centre of Dublin. Easy walk to most attractions. This hotel is good if you are on a budget, but is by no means luxurious. The rooms are rather shabby and stuffy, but fine for a night or two. more

This hotel is in a fantastic location and the view from my window was great. The room was clean. The shower had great water pressure. The TV was too small and I didnt really use it anyway. The lounge on the 2nd floor has a free computer, allowing you to send a myspace shout out to your friends back home... more

My boyfriend and I only stayed at the hotel for one night, but would have enjoyed it for several more if possible, and would certainly stayed there again. The location was excellent, couldn't be better: right in the center of O'Connell street. The room was very clean and a good size, and the decor was authentic. (Yes maybe a bit... more

I booked a cheap flight to Dublin with my partner from Aer Lingus , as their prices were so good I looked at hotels on their website. I chose Lynams as it was so central and a good rate. We were only in Dublin 2 nights, if it was longer we would have asked for another room. I had booked... more

Stayed at this Hotel over the St Patricks Day weekend when the city was exceptionally busy, I chose it for the location. It is right by the bus stop from the airport (Bus number 747), very convenient for exploring the city. Everything is within walking distance, the LUAS tram is only a block away, the Temple Bar area is just... more
