We were warned to not stay in a B&B in dublin, but this one was pretty good. We had a beautiful room, and the breakfast was good. Rooms all had wireless, which was a definite plus. If we stay in dublin again, we wouldn't probably look for a place South of the river, since we spent most of our time... more

We booked this hotel directly from their website and had no other contact with hotel before arriving. Everything was a-ok upon check-in. We stayed one night (Saturday) before a tour and one night after the tour ended (Thursday). On the Saturday night we stayed in Room 14 which is a triple and found there was noise outside until around 1am.... more

Nice rooms, we stayed at the back newer section and the rest of our group in the older front sections in a room with amazingly high ceilings. Good security, always someone at the desk to buzz you in and out. Only a short walk to Temple Bar but away from all the noise and activity in that area. Some very... more

I agree with most of the reviews here, in that The Anchor Guest House is a clean, comfortable and central place to stay in Dublin. The location is good - within 10 mins walking distance of Temple Bar (very noisy!) but on a street lined with B&Bs and hostels, and not rowdy bars. Granted, there was some street noise if... more

The Anchor was great. We only stayed one night in Dublin, but we wanted to stay longer. The Anchor has a great location, within walking distance to most of the attractions in Dubln. The staff were friendly throughout our stay, and very helpful. The room was clean, and the bed comfortable. We never ran out of hot water, either. Breakfast was... more

My partner and I spent one night at the Anchor Guesthouse when we were passing through Dublin at the end of May. The hotel is a more than adequate and reasonably priced (for Dublin) option for anyone staying for a few days in the city. Our room was nothing special, but the rest of the hotel is very quaint and... more

I fully agree with other users by saying the Anchor House is a small hotel rather than a B&B. The location is excellent as it is within walking distance of O'Connell street, the main shopping areas and Temple Bar. The room was located in the more recent "annex". It was a bit small, but nicely furnished and clean. There were... more

Though the location is convenient to walking central Dublin, the noise of the street and the bright street light made the stay less than restful. Friendly staff. We had our first "Irish breakfast" here, so we hadn't yet tired of eggs and bacon. more

The Anchor in in the City Center along a row of similar properties. It's a bit long in the tooth and very basic. However, the very friendly staff make up for that several times over. If your looking for posh this isn't for you but it's a comfortable stay. more
