You neve know what to expect when a roon normally sold for £150 is discounted to £60 but in this case we were very lucky. It was a friday and there was no event at the conference centre so i guesss thats why is was such a bargain. Staff were friendly and polite (even when a Canadian guest rubbished Billy... more

Just returned from a visit to the Newton Hotel. Initial favourable reaction to the impressive drive up to the hotel was surpassed by the attention of the staff. The lady on reception was welcoming and helpful. Accomodation: extremely clean and very comfortable. The food and service excellent. Would highly recommend a visit. more

What can you say about the look of the Hotel? Amazing! You drive up the tree lined drive towards the hotel and then you see this amazing building set in well kept land. We arrived on the friday evening to notice an evening wedding do was in full swing, needless to say that the parking was a nightmare as the... more

My fiance took me to this hotel for a romantic night away. We were checked in very efficiently even though there was a small wedding on. We then went up to our room which was huge! Lovely big bed, gorgeous bathroom & nice view. We went down to the bar after strolling around Nairn & had some lovely wine. Dinner... more

We recently stayed in The Newton Hotel in Nairn and it was lovely. We booked an Executive room on bed and breakfast. This allocated a room (115) in the newer extension part of the hotel. The room was large with a huge (bigger than kingsize) bed. The bathroom was one of the largest I have seen in a hotel with... more

Stay away from this hotel by all means. We booked a master room and prepaid for it. When we reached there, they tried to put us into a standard room thinking we would not notice. When we pointed out, they acted in surprise and told us that they already rented out all master rooms. We didn’t have a choice as... more

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend away in January 2008, on arrival we were upgraded to the Macmillan Suite which was larger than my house, this was situated in the old part and could be doing with a little bit of TLC, but in general it was a comfortable room. Breakfast was okay but oyu have to be... more

The hotel was lovely in every way. The only issue was the check in. The receptionist took my credit card and charged £2 to for no reason and gave no explination. Also she never gave any details of dinner or breakfast. Poor arrival experience. more

The hotels rooms are mix of old and new. In the new part of the Hotel they are 4* quality. In the old part of the hotel they are not. We stayed in the old part, in the Chaplin suite and although in need of some "Tender, loving care" The sheer size and comfort made up for it's aging decor.... more

I stayed here for one night and was very pleased with this hotel. After a long working day, the welcome was warm and friendly, I was quickly checked in and soon in my room. The bed was comfy, shower hot and everywhere was spotless, but did not have that sterile feel. There were lovely fluffy towels, complimentary toiletries, a hairdryer... more
