This hotel looks the part, set in nice grounds, big white stately looking building. The reception area is a classic high-end lobby. Staff were excellent, polite and helpful- checking in was quick and painless. The room was ample, nice size, well kitted out, great bathroom. View a little poor but generally a good room. The leisure club is nice, a... more

Wonderful stately hotel set within beautiful mature grounds and within easy walking distance of the town centre. The rooms were beautifully spacious with all the mod cons one might expect in a 5 star property and huge comfortable beds with bedding and pillows galore! All the staff (without exception) were dedicated to ensuring our time spent there was as pleasurable... more

We stayed at the Kingsmill for 3 nights as part of our holiday touring the Highlands. About a mile from the town centre, it's conveniant for both Inverness Airport and exploring Loch Ness (about 20 minutes away). From the moment we checked in, all the staff were extremley polite and very helpful. One of the young ladies on reception very... more

Having spent a few days staying in smaller hotels in Scotland, where the welcome and service were outstanding, it was disappointing to check in here - a large hotel - where the reception staff were offhand and slow. The bedroom however was large although the king size bed was a foldaway and creaked horrendously! Drinks and dinner in the hotel... more

This hotel is classed as 4 star, but is not worth the price they charge and it needs refurbishing. Our room was fine, but the top of the cabinet where the TV sat was not cleaned properly and felt sticky. We ordered breakfast in our room and wished we hadnt. It was cold and looked awful. We were not given... more

Thank you for your feedback, I do appreciate all feedback as it allows me to look at all areas of our business and make any alterations if required. I apologise for the room service error and will be highlighting this training need to our operations team to address. The hotel has changed ownership in the last nine months and I...

My wife, 4 month old son and I have just returned from a wonderful 2 night stay at this hotel and can thoroughly recommend it to all types of guests whether a couple or a family like us. We booked our hotel through laterooms. On arrival the hotel is immediately seen to be a lovely building which is in great... more

This is a good hotel with friendly staff. We had a standard room. It was really a basic 4 star hotel room – not all that special. It was, however, spotlessly clean. Bathroom size was OK. Concierge is excellent value – is happy to spend time and advise on what to do. Not overly impressed with breakfast – probably the... more

Our experience at Kingsmills was average. Judging from the hotel's website and the price they charge for the room (£181 per night), we expected more but were disappointed. The room was large with enough space for an extra bed for our son but as a whole the room was tired and dated. The worst part is that we were given... more

We stayed for 2 days at the begining of our holiday and 1 day at the end. Sadly on our first stay we had a room on the ground floor It had a folding bed that could be pushed up into the wall which was very uncomfortable, we didn't complain until we left as we couldn't be bothered to move... more

This hotel advertises itself as 4 stars, probably because of the amenities - grounds, pool, restaurant, front desk. It is probably one of the nicest (and most expensive) hotels in Inverness. But we would not consider it 4 stars. Our room was very large, but furnishings in room and common areas was "shabby" - ok for a country inn, but... more
